How do you practice being kind to your future self?
I started understanding the idea of “future self” when I embraced minimalism. Living in the moment, but always considering my future self when doing things in the present – be it about my finances, and physical and mental health.
Healthy Options, founded in 1995 by Romy Sia and Christian Tan, recently launched the Be Kind to Future You campaign. The home-grown brand, which opened its first store at Shangri-La Plaza in 1995, was born out of a father’s struggle to find clean, artificial-free food in Manila for his son who had sensitivities. Romy, inspired by the rising popularity of organic food during his visits to the US, sought to provide Filipinos with access to all-natural and organic pantry staples.
Be Kind to Future You
I got invited to the exclusive launch of the campaign where we heard first-hand from HealthyOptions’ CEO Romy Sia, the brand’s history, vision, and goals for the coming years. Romy shared how through this campaign, he aims to inspire people to take small steps that lead to long-lasting healthy habits.
We had the opportunity to explore Healthy Options products at their first store in Shangri-La Mall through wellness discovery sessions and interactive booths.
We sampled their clean and cruelty-free personal care products, which are not only gentle on the skin but also environmentally friendly, including being safe for drainage systems.
We also got to curate our own healthy snacks with organic and additive-free trail mix ingredients. We always buy our gluten-free snacks at Healthy Options, so it is a treat to discover other snacks and nuts brands.
There was also a special booth for babies and kids, where we could taste-test products from Happy Baby, which offers organic nutrition for children during their formative years. We even got to try a new recipe featuring organic and natural ingredients readily available at Healthy Options.
In the true sense of going green, Healthy Options also encouraged customers to bring their amber, clean, and empty Healthy Options and Solgar supplement bottles for their next visit.
It’s great to see Healthy Options remain dedicated to fostering a lifestyle that prioritizes health, well-being, and sustainability.
