The farthest place I have ever been to Northern part of Metro Manila to cover an event is in Fairview Terraces. Going on the opposite side, I always decline events that require me to go down South. But HMR Sucat is so tempting to visit, especially that they launched a new sports brand called Loro. Who can say No to shopping?
Loro is a new sporting brand under HMR Philippines which sells sporting goods from apparel to equipment. Loro is the only store where you can find Rugby gear and is now the official clothing partner of Lady Volcanoes. The event was hosted by Andrew Wolff! (OMG, OMG, OMG!). Andrew of course, is a member of Philippine Volcanoes, Philippine Rugby Team.
Who do you think would best model the new Loro apparel? Of course, the Philippine Lady Volcanoes! They did a fashion show and they are so awesome! They looked like they are just playing and having fun on the ramp!

After the show, we got to the chance to know more about the Lady Volcanoes by giving us a chance to ask questions. I asked how important it is to wear good quality clothes when playing Rugby, and they said that they need to be able to move well, and wear the colors in pride, especially that Loro’s Rugby collection is in blue. They also shared how most of them got recruited to play for the Rugby team. They play different sports, and they come together. Playing Rugby gives them a sense of fulfillment and personal development. Now they are looking and recruiting from schools and universities. If you are worried that you are too old for the sports, guess they have a teammate who is in her 40’s and can still compete with younger players.
