Lazada bridges the gap of distance and diversity by introducing its newest line of international brands as well as its own fashion line called LZD yesterday at the R Space in Makati. Lazada, which operated in March 2012 is the country’s largest online shopping mall.
There was so much excitement from me when I saw the UK brands from the brands listing and delicate LZD pieces displayed in the event area. I still have that London hangover!
LZD features clothes which were designed using Lazada’s three F concept – Fit, Fabric and Fanstastic Value.
Ms Anne-Marie Bodal, Fashion Creative Director at Lazada Group showed us behind the scene in the making of the LZD collection and why the brand would truly fit the Filipina taste and figure. The Fit Showcases the style of silhouette cutting intended to flatter the Asian body type. The fabrics are carefully selected in keeping with international styles while at the same time maintaining a South-est Asian blend. While Fantastic Value translates to good quality at affordable price. I am delighted to find out the pieces cost from Php 350 to Php 1,800.
The fun creative Lazada Team showed media friends, bloggers and special guest, Divine Lee (who was chosen as Lazada’s newest brand ambassador) around and taught us how we can experiment with different pieces. Divine Lee was chosen for her innate sense of fashion, great personality, and her noticeable presence in online and offline media. She is super fun and I adore her. 🙂
The LZD is not just for the fun and carefree girls, LZD has different styles that suit every woman’s individuality and style – if you want to go for sporty chic, rock chic or go Plain Jane, there is an interesting piece from every collection.
I love bodycon dresses but now, I am staying away from them
because of the bulges (I must work, work out!)

The Premium Line is an interesting collection.
I love it when they said that “we make our own fairytales”.
The collection consists of long dresses, fancy tops and detailed skirts for evening affairs 🙂
To let us experience the exquisite pieces from Lazada, the team asked us to pick one piece from the collection. I seriously want to grab all the pieces! We needed a little help from the Lazada Team and he told me that this maxi chiffon dress would be perfect for me. I had to try it on and TADAH! 🙂
I could imagine the serene view of calm sea, golden sun rays, and powdery sand in my feet while I sip a cool pina colada.. 🙂

Seriously, although I want to take all the nice pieces, I decided on
getting something that I can really use and wear 🙂

My mom (she’s a dressmaker and she makes most of my clothes :)) is happy with my choice 🙂 I usually ask her opinion whenever I shop, and all my hauls should have her approval. Haha.
It was awesome to actually feel and try the new LZD collection (and now I am ready to shop again online!).. The LZD collection has really nice material and fabric. The cuts and styles are not the usual tacky pieces you see in most of the stores. I wouldn’t mind seeing someone wearing the same dress as what I am wearing – hey, it is from LZD!
