Korean make-up brand, Banilla Co now in the Philippines.
My friend who always visits Korea says that it is truly a haven for makeup and skin care junkies. It was interesting to know that in South East Asia, Philippines is the only country where makeup outsells skincare.
I  personally takes care of skincare more than anything – because I am afraid of wrinkles and I have such a sensitive skin that easily break outs. What good is a  makeup put over an unhealthy skin?
I was excited to witness the launch of the Banilla Co in the Philippines last November 23rd at the Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas.Â
For starters, Banilla Co is multi-awarded makeup brand which focuses on base makeup – primers, foundation, gel liners and cc cream. Their products give a glow of Lit from Within. Banilla Co started its humble beginning in 2005 and is rapidly growing making it the second best selling brand in China.
Currently, the brand is taking over South East Asia with its launch in Taiwan and Philippines. In 2016, the brand is set to open in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
During the launch  I got to play with its premier products and makeup.Â
My first impression: super cute and adorable packagings!!
For its base products, there’s a Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm which has captivated Korean beauty enthusiasts that they snapped up the product at a staggering rate of 1 cleanser for every 4.8 seconds. Banila Co.’s Prime Primer, with its silky smooth texture and its potent ability to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines, was adjudged by Get It Beauty, a Korean cable program that reviews the best cosmetic products in the market, as the best primer in the industry. The company also boasts as having the first and only water-based CC cream in the market. The It Radiant CC Cream has been the bestselling CC cream in Korea for 3 years running.
I tried the lip gloss and it feels so smooth and silky on my lips!

The launch was graced by Banila Co. CEO Mr. Chang Soo Kim, Chief Makeup Artist Mr. Kangpil Kim, and Managing Directors Cathryn and Jon Lim of All That Blush Trading Inc. The brand is endorsed by Korean actress/TV presenter Song Ji Hyo of the Running Man Variety show fame.
