I discovered a new beach resort which is just a 3-hour drive from Manila. There would be no surprises if Playa Laiya Beach Club becomes a new favorite beach resort for a weekend or day trip. Playa Laiya offers day tour, water activities and serenity of beach life to help guests relax and escape the demands of urban living.
Located at San Juan, Batangas, Playa Laiya is a master-planned exclusive seaside residential community developed by Landco Pacific Corporation, which serves as an R&R paradise for city dwellers.
The resort welcomed us with greens, blues and earth tones.
The reception area led us to the view of the infinity pool and the beach. Just to set your expectations, don’t expect white sand here 🙂

Cabanas Rates Playa Laiya Beach Club

Pool Cabana and Beach Front (6 to 10) Php 750
Pool Pavilion (20 to 30 pax) Php 5,500

I was all set for relaxing in the beach front while enjoying a drink and the view of the ocean and sound of beach waves.
Simple Happy State
Until our host announced that we would do an island tour. I was seriously not prepared for it 🙂
But the rest of the group was ready with their bikinis, swimming gear and action cameras. It was drizzling when we sailed and I was scared to be surrounded with water (especially that I am “injured”). I was seriously scared of shark (Cristelle too! – we were “bleeding” :D). But I am always up for adventure so I joined the crew.
The boat ride took around 30 minutes. I forgot all my worries when we arrived in the private island. It is rocky with full of shells. I felt like I am Moana.

Then this happened. Haha
The island is perfect for photo shoots. Ask for their testimony.

We were planning to do a quick snorkeling but it was raining so we decided to go back to the beach resort to have lunch at the The Sands.
I love the food prepared by the same chef from Punta Fuego. Perfect meal after soaking and sailing. I would have wanted to sleep after lunch 🙂
After lunch, I just enjoyed my time chilling in the beach front. It is fun to have an alone-time. The place is relaxing and not too crowded. You can enjoy your time with privacy.
Hi Alwin!
Girl and Boy Thing!
Thank you Cristelle and Rey for being my Instagram Girlfriend and Boyfriend that day!
Love our shirts!
Friends and Families may try the variety of water activities like Jet Ski, Banana Boat, Flying Fish, Kayaking and beach volleyball. My friends tried the Banana Boat while @cristelletorres and I just rode the speed boat leading them to an epic water adventure 🙂
It was my first time to ride a speed boat and I went a little too crazy about it. You should have seen my IG stories @ruthilicious.
I rarely go on quick day tours because I hate the worries of looking after my stuff (because there is no real accommodation) and sharing public restrooms but Playa Laiya Beach Club made it safe, fun and convenient for me.
There is a decent restroom and shower room with well maintained facilities and usual supplies.
The shower room and changing room are spacious with separate toilet cubicles (with bidet).
The staff is very pleasant too from receptionists, boat men and security guards. We just left our stuff in the cabana while we went on an island tour.
