Travel | Macampao Beach Resort in Cabangan, Zambales
When they say that salt can cure anything, we took it too seriously. We traveled from Manila to Zambales and greeted the waves of West Philippine Sea.Â

We got fresh food prepared every meal. We even got native snacks for merienda.
Â
We spent most of the time in the beach. The best part is playing and running away from the big waves of West Philippine Sea (or South China Sea).
Â
As if playing with the waves is not a very physical activity, you can try activities like Volleyball, Billiards, Frisbee, Â or traditional games like Sungka.
You can also participate in water activities like Kayaking, Fishing, Bamboo Water Rafting and Baby Sea Turtle Releasing.
Snack is served at 3:00 PM
We only stayed overnight and I would really want to explore and just stay at the place. I love that we can enjoy the beach without taking the boat. The beach is just literally right at the back of the resort/rest house. If you are staying for more than a day, you can check out the other activities that you can do in Zambales here.Â

I love the sweet escape and how pampered we were during our stay. The place is so romantic, private and not crowded. It was a good weekend to disconnect from my world (and social media). The resort provides FREE WIFI access but connection is intermittent at times. A good disconection from the usual.  It is a perfect place for couple (for honeymoon) who would want to have private time, and friends who wish to try new activities.
Food is really good (farm-to-table) and guaranteed fresh! The staff is really courteous and accommodating to our requests, too.
The beach appears to be white but it is more of sandy with big chunk of salt (which is perfect for scrubbing :D). Waves are really big and strong – I wouldn’t recommend swimming if you can’t swim in the open sea and better wear a bikini/rash guard that is suited for big waves 😉
I don’t normally want to visit the same place I have been to before,
but Macampao Beach Resort is an exception.
