Rock & Seoul New Offerings

Rock & Seoul Restaurant at the ground level of SM North, The Block is not your typical Korean restaurant. It has its own beat stringing in the usual favorite Korean dishes with a whole new rocking food experience. 

It was my first time to experience the s(e)oul of this restaurant by Relish Group – the same group that brought us We Nam Ke, Osaka Ohsho and Kumori Bakery. 

White brick walls, red chairs, vinyl records, old cassette players and the framed shirts on the wall featuring artists like Bap Street Boys and Tofu Fighters. They are witty, indeed. At least, for a 90’s kid like me. 

Rock and Seoul gives its customer a chance to mix its own Bibimbap but for our special dinner, we were served with – Big Boy La Ribs, Original Bibimbap, Ramyeon, Crispy Chicken Melt and unlimited banchan!

They say that Big Boy LA Ribs is a life-changing steak that is a salute to Los Angeles where Korean-Americans have made the city’s food scene hip! It did change my night. I was so full. 

I didn’t know how the other guests managed to finish the whole tray with Ramyeon – rich broth flavoured with chili and Korean spices topped with sirloin beef, squid, seaweed, corn and egg; and Crispy Chicken Melt (chicken and cheese? I die…). This is Rock & Seoul’s new bestseller – simple Korean Fried Chicken smothered with signature cheese sauce.

Don’t forget the Lychee Yakult! The best yakult-concocted drink I have ever tasted. Good combination.

More rocking and soulful food porn below. I would want to try American Breakfast and Pork Salpicao next time. Prepare around Php 250 to 350 for a meal.
