Do I Really Need Insurance? + Philam Life #LiveBetter Expo
Do I need an insurance policy? I see insurance as a commitment.
When I was younger, I used to go with mom to pay for my father’s insurance. She said that it would help in case something happens to him. He is still alive (thank God). Calculating how much we had paid the company, it is worth more than what we would get. My sister had an insurance policy too. We terminated it after she migrated in another country. At that time I thought I don’t need an insurance (especially that I got one as a benefit working for a multinational company). I thought, just like her, I would go places.
Things are changing though – and so are my decisions. I have a couple of friends who are sending me proposals to start paying for an insurance for myself. I felt that I do not need one. But after attending the Philam Life #LiveBetter expo held at the Glorietta 2 Activity Center last August 25, 2017, I thought I need to sign up.
At one of the activities, they asked me to choose – wealth creation, healthy living with perks or continuous earnings?
Not thinking twice, I chose Healthy Living with Perks. Having a healthy lifestyle enables me to do things and go places. I know it is easier said than done that’s why I try to find blanace in everything I do – from enjoying life’s surprises, indulging in sweet/salty cravings and exploring places while saving up for the future.
The #LiveBetter expo takes us to different activities that highlights the brands four pillars – fitness, food, wellness and financial health. The event is in line with the company’s vision to help Filipinos live longer, healthier and better lives.
