Going on staycation / traveling together is my love language.
I love going on staycations with friends to catch up and connect. Most often, “a whole day date” is not enough, and a quick catch-up calls for an overnight stay. This is how adult friendships work, and I love that I still get to connect with long-time friends.
Last week, I got invited to stay at the newly-opened Citadines Roces Quezon City and I had a great time bonding with my friend.

Our Room
We stayed in a Studio Deluxe Room with Queen-Size Bed complete with a kitchenette, full refrigerator, and the usual hotel amenities.
I love staying in a spacious room where we can easily move around, and have our little space for work or play. That idea that we can bond and be together, and at the same time have our own space if we want a me-time.
The kitchenette has complete amenities including an oven, water kettle (with coffee and tea), and plates and glassware for those who would be staying long-term. Perfect place for those who are traveling for business, or expats assigned in the Philippines.
I love the couch which we can transform into another bed. This is where we hang out and just do our girl things.
The bathroom is spacious, too with a hot and cold shower. There are available toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, body gel, and Argan Oil lotion (smells really good!)
The Facilities
The lobby is located at the 8th floor which is spacious complete with comfortable couches and stools where guests can enjoy complimentary coffee.
My beautiful friend, Au who made sure I get the best photos and video clips. Thank youuuuu!!!
On the same floor is the swimming pool and lounge area. I really love that it offers a great view of the city. It is located at the 8th floor which is not too hot when staying during the afternoon.
There is also a laundry area, gym, and function rooms for events and meetings.
The Food
During our stay, Citadines Roces Quezon City prepared a special dinner menu for the guests. We had a 4-course meal at the in-house modern Filipino restaurant, Alejo. Love everything that they prepared for us, especially the main dish served with cilantro (I know not everyone eats cilantro).
Alejo offers buffet breakfast to guests, featuring a delightful array of Filipino morning favorites such as tapa, sinangag, and continental breakfast faves like sausage, bacon, and marble potatoes. Additionally, an Omelette Station is available for customization. Guests can also enjoy a selection of fresh fruits and desserts.
I love Alejo’s interior which is warm and cozy. It features tribal aesthetics and contemporary design elements. When you get to dine at Alejo, make sure to check out the walls and bricks.
My Experience
During our stay, Citadines Roces organized a fun activity for the guests. We got to mix our coffee scrub! Citadines Roces’ initiative to promote sustainability involves utilizing coffee grounds to create a luxurious coffee scrub for guests. These activities not only enhance the guest experience but also contribute positively to environmental conservation efforts.
Au and I just basically hung out and talked, and our friend Larae also swung by to bond with us. We had McDonald’s food delivery via Grab, (yes, you can do food delivery and just pick it up at the lobby). My friends even ordered a birthday cake for me (what a sweet surprise). Thank youuuu!
Thank you Au and Larae! ❤️
We had a really comfortable stay, and I even got to do a quick work. Although the data connectivity is a challenge, the property provides Free WIFI access. Next time, I will also make sure to bring snacks and chips.
We love our stay at the Citadines Roces Quezon City. Everyone is so welcoming and pleasant from the guard to the hotel front office staff, and housekeeping to the Alejo team. I hope that this level of hospitality and consistency continues throughout our time here.
It is always healing and inspiring to spend time with friends. 😊 Enjoyed this time leading to my birthday.
Thank you, Citadines and Ascott for having us!
