Tagaytay is always a great idea, and a top destination for a weekend staycation. It is just a 2-hour drive from Manila, and offers a cool weather and scenic views.
I recently had a staycation in Tagaytay Highlands, which is one of the biggest, luxurious, and well-developed properties in Tagaytay City. Aside from the scenic views and the fee/vibe of being in another country, the property houses residential subdivisions, country clubs, restaurants, and cabin – inspired lodging.
It may sound a bit of a cliche to say it is a relaxing staycation, but it is indeed one of the best staycations I had experienced so far. Coming from a recent trip to Vietnam, it felt like a vacation after a vacation when I stayed in Tagaytay Highlands.
We arrived early in the morning and was welcomed with the view of the Tagaytay City. We were served breakfast at the Spa & Lodge before we toured the property, including the different showrooms that modeled the current residential condominiums that they are offering.
Tagaytay Highlands is an exclusive member-only property. I think this is one of the reasons why I enjoyed our stay. We got to have our free-time, space, and privacy. It is indeed a luxury to escape the busyness of the Metro and have access to the views and weather of Tagaytay Highlands.
Tagaytay Highlands Tour and Facilities
We got to check out and tour the model houses. I have previously seen and visited different condominium units and Tagaytay Highlands’ has one of the best layouts and interior designs.
The property offers space for leisure and relaxation – from golf courses, playground, swimming pool, and restaurants. We love everything that we ate at Tagaytay Highlands especially the Thai Food spread from Lime and Basil.
Sun Dial and Cable Car
Pool are just right beside restaurants
A quick visit to the playground, and authentic Thai food

Dreamy wedding set-up (there was a scheduled wedding during our visit)

Model Houses in Tagaytay Highlands
These are the model houses that we checked out at the Tagaytay Residences. It is very spacious and well-designed in terms of interior and layout.

After the tour, we checked in at our cabin-inspired rooms. It is so spacious perfect for families, friends, couples or solo traveler like me who really want space.
I decided to just stay in my room and gave myself permission to be lazy. I ordered room service/snack Grilled Cheese and watermelon shake.
It is nice to just relax and not think of anything – a rarity for someone who breathes creative work.

Love the wood furniture and cabin-inspired vibes

Just enjoyed our time in the massage room
In the afternoon, we had a Swedish Massage which is a perfect post-travel self-care for me. Ana and I just took our time to enjoy the stillness.
We ended our night with Italian dishes served at Amare La Cucina.
I appreciate how the staff waited for us, and even offered us to experience making our own pizza.
We just wanted to just enjoy the food and conversation with other content creators.
I had a relaxing and comfortable stay and sleep that night.
I like the little lifestyle I built for myself, but if there is a chance to own a property in Tagaytay Highlands for a quick escape, enjoy my me-time and privacy, I would really take it.
Thank you so much Tagaytay Highlands for having me and for spoiling me.
