When I received a #bloggermail from Farmstay, I was quite hesitant to touch or try them. Maybe the Korean language and texts seem a bit intimidating. Maybe I am just not open to trying out new skin care products.
But one fact that pushes me to unbox it, the fact that these products are made in Korea. Everyone knows how Koreans are obsessed with skin care that made them the best place to buy skincare products.
I was presented with this step-by-step beauty routine to achieve that glowing Korean skin:
The Secret to Achieving Glowing Korean Skin
1. Make up removal
2. Cleansing
3. Exfoliant
4. Toner
5. Essence
6. Serum
7. Face Mask
8. Eye Cream
9. Emulsion
10. Night Cream
Yes guys, 10 steps! Just the thought of it makes me tired. Usually I just stop at step 2 and then sleep. Farmstay sent me an (almost) complete package to achieve that skin. But I still have hesitation to use them all.
I got initially curious about the Snail Cream. My reaction was – seriously? Would you ever feel comfortable to have snails crawling in your face?
But of course what I receive is not a tub of crawling snails. The history started n 1980, snail farmers in Chile who were exporting snails to restaurants in Europe noticed that skin on their hands became extremely soft. Injuries and cuts also healed quickly without becoming infected.
Studies show that snail slime contains a perfect balance of proteins, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants which:
- Stimulates the production of elastin and collagen. Elastin is the “rubber band” of skin – it makes the skin “snap back” to its original shape after being stretched or contracted. Collagen, on the other hand, is a protein that supports skin, keeping it strong and firm.
- Protect the skin from harmful elements in the environment that lead to premature skin aging.
While Snail Slime is ideal for:
- Preventing and repairing wrinkles, making the skin firm, flexible and plump.
- Visibly tightening pores.
- Dramatically hydrating skin for a softer and smoother texture.
- Healing inflamed, irritated or damaged skin (due to burns or acne)
I was convinced.
Farmstay Snail Cream Review
I followed my normal skin care routine and started using the Farmstay Snail Cream as moisturizer at night. The packaging is pretty simple and straightforward. The tub contains white thick cream (it looks more like a hair spa product for me). It doesn’t smell so bad. It feels light when applied.
On the first use, I already felt that my skin feels smooth and soft when I woke up. I can be a little lazy when it comes to following beauty routine but will try to be more consistent of it.
What I love about Farmstay Snail Cream:
It is easy to apply.
It is light on the skin.
It has no strong scent.
It didn’t give me breakouts.
It didn’t give me skin allergy.
My skin felt smoother and softer on the first use.
What I don’t like about Farmstay Snail Cream:
The tub packaging which makes it painful to bring during travels.
It feels unsanitary to be dipping your hand on the tub each time I use it.
I am not sure if the php 900 price of a tub is a great deal but my friend who always visits Korea told me that Snail Creams are really expensive because they are effective.
The Verdict:
Yes, I recommend this Snail Cream. I am thinking of also using this wonder product in other parts of the body. 🙂
And for the selfie, here’s how my skin and face looked with my lovely titas.
I don’t have the most amazing skin in the face. I had worse acne condition when I was in my teen years. The goal for me is to age with grace. Help me dear snails! Haha
Have you guys tried using Snail Cream?
