I only have two words when I first touched and felt the new Cherry Mobile Flare 4. Stunning. Elegant.
I had to take a closer look at the material to see how premium and real it feels. I love the curves in the right places. It is thin and slim and is perfect to hold with its 5 inch display screen. I love the feel of the backcover which is leather -like. It gives a certain character and sophistication (although it is only made with plastic).
The POWER button is on the right side and the volume control is on the left side. USB port and 3.5 mm jack for earphones are at the top part. As a whole, it looks perfect and elegant for a smartphone as low as $100 (Php 5,000).
Beautiful and sophisticated. An impressive design for its price. Now, let’s check how it fairs with performance. Whenever I review a smartphone, I want to focus on the camera, battery, and the performance (if it lags or promptly responds to commands).
13 MP Rear Camera and 5 MP Front Camera
I took it out to some events to check out the camera and the quality of the pictures.
Cherry Mobile Flare 4 does give nice, high quality pictures for social media use (especially when pictures are taken with good lighting).
See sample pictures I have taken in different “everyday” scenarios.
The photos were taken using Cherry Mobile Flare 4 with no filter and editing.

Performance and Battery Life 2100mAh
The Cherry Mobile Flare 4 can last you days in standby mode and few hours on data/internet. I was not able to totally abuse and test the battery life but it can sure last you a day with Cherry Mobile Flare 4 (if you are not a heavy data user).
Cherry Mobile Flare 4 does respond quickly with social media apps running. I tried installing and playing a very light game on it – Sarah G Popsters and it did work pretty well – with nice blasting color display and sound.
What I think of the Cherry Mobile Flare 4?
Cherry Mobile Flare 4 is an impressive smartphone with features comparable to mid-range smartphones. It is perfect for everyday use – taking pictures, social media sharing and simple call and text.
However, for someone like me who needs to be always online, and documents things and creates content, this would only work as a supplementary smartphone.
I would recommend this smartphone to students and parents who need to stay connected with their family and friends. The camera features are perfect for documenting memories for social media sharing but not for professional use. But with so many photo editing app, you can still be creative. The best camera is the one that you have at the moment.
Disclaimer: I receive Cherry Mobile Flare 4 for review. All opinions, style of writing and photo/ideas are mine.
