Travel Essentials | Tokyo, Japan Travel

Every travel, I get to update my travel essentials with new product discoveries. I love that most of the new additions to my current travel essentials help me enjoy a convenient travel, aside from making me stay healthy and fit for everyday explorations.

You might probably see the usual essentials I bring every travel, but I got new additions:

1. Vaseline Lip Therapy Sticks

I always bring a lip moisturizer whenever I travel and even though I already have a trusted brand that I use, I brought the new Vaseline Lip Therapy Sticks with me in the recent trip. I love the Rosy Lips variant that gives an instant dewy shine while moisturizing the lips.

Vaseline Lip Therapy Sticks

The new Vaseline Lip Therapy Sticks are made in Korea and are well-loved by K-Pop groups to protect their puckers, which means you’re getting the ultimate and highly recommended benefits straight from the land of great skincare. Known for its ability to attract and retain moisture, the brand’s OG petroleum jelly is the key ingredient of the Vaseline Lip Therapy Sticks which gives you moisturized, healthier, and softer lips with  just one super quick swipe.

Other variants are: Original, Aloe Vera and Cocoa Butter.

2. GumTect Gum Care Toothpaste and Toothbrush

Traveling is the time to explore new flavors. It is important to take care of our teeth and prevent “pangingilo” especially when trying new food and flavors that are new to us. Think of all the sushi, ramen and mochi that were waiting for us in Japan.

For the most part of the trip, I followed my Intermittent Fasting, and only eat Banana in the morning (which we kept inside the fridge) that somehow a little too painful to chew.

Gumtect Senstive Tootpaste and Gumtect Sensitive Mouthwash help prevent tooth sensitivity as it protects the nerves around the teeth to relieve pain.

3.  Caticorn Dreams Solid Shampoo Bar

I heard a lot about the popularity of shampoo bars and I am really interested in buying and switching but it seems that I couldn’t find the perfect variant for my hair and scalp condition.

Thankfully, I discovered Caticorn Dreams and its Activated Charcoal Shampoo Bar for intense cleanse and control.

Caticorn Dreams Shampoo Bar

I brought one during my recent trip, and I love how it feels in my hair during and after washing. True to its promise, my hair feels conditioned because of its Anti-Fizz formula, that I can even skip applying Hair Conditioner. My hair feels a lot cleaner after washing – with no itch and flaking. I love that I use it for over hundred washes.

4. Skin Care : Svelt’i and Dr Morita

No matter how tired and restless I feel after a day of exploration, I always religiously follow my skin care routine. After removing my make – up (I use Simple Makeup Remover),  I use the Svelt’i products to prevent breakouts especially that skin is prone to acne because of lack of sleep and change of weather.

I also brought Dr. Morita Facial Masks which are now available in the Philippines. Dr. Morita is the number one facial mask in Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

 Dr Morita Facial Masks

The beauty about this much-celebrated mask is that it functions like a toner, moisturizer and serum in one. I brought the best-selling  Hyaluronic Acid Essence Mask and I love it because it works well on my sensitive skin. I guess, this mask is perfect for any skin type and for those who are non-believers of facial masks.

I like that Dr Morita Facial Mask doesn’t feel too drippy when you apply it. It covers the right areas of the face and you would instantly feel refreshed right after. More importantly, it doesn’t give me allergic reaction unlike other facial masks.

Our room comes with a gaming console, so this is the nightly scenario.
I am not used to playing this kind of console – and I obviously sucked at the games.
I missed my Family Computer.

5. Tep Wireless

Smartphone is the new remote control of our lives, and for us to fully function we need connection to the world (wide web). I love that I got to stay connected to my social media world, family and friends through Tep Wireless.

Tep Wireless is a pocket wifi that gives you safe, secured and fast internet connection anywhere you are in the world. I ordered the device before my flight and have sent in my Japan  accommodation so it was timely delivered before my arrival.

The packages vary depending on how long you are traveling. You can buy unlimited data for 8.95 USD per day.

Tep Wireless has been very helpful during my travel – it allows me to post real time update, respond to emails and inquiries online, stay connected with my family and friends, and navigate Google Maps (I was feeling secured even if I got lost).  The Tep Wireless device can last up to 10 hours, and is easy to charge with a powerbank.
