It might have been ages the last time I used a Nokia phone, but Nokia is back in the tech game with its new personal audio devices. 

I received this Nokia Essential True Wireless Earphones E3200 from RichGo Philippines and I am beyond excited to play with this new earphones offering from Nokia.

Let’s do a quick unboxing. 

The box has a sleek packaging and it notes the following features:

Inside the box, it contains:

E3200 Earbuds (2 pcs – Left and Right), charging case, charging cable, ear cushion adapters (S, M, L), manual & warranty.

Sleek, simple and light.

The left and right buds have a shell-like shape. There’s a button and LED indicator in the center. The Nokia Essential True Wireless Earphones E3200 is an in-ear type of earphones and it feels very light on my ear (weighing only 4 grams). 

Bluetooth 5.0

Bluetooth 5.0 which gives you a longer device range. Connecting it to your device is such a breeze. Just simply turn on the earphones and connect your laptop or mobile phone.

Touch Controls

For its small and bite-sized packaging, I am impressed that it even comes with touch control features. The design is user-friendly and easy to understand. 

 Tap once to play or pause music. Tap trice connects and calls up Google Assistant or Apple’s Siri. While, the double-tap gesture is designed differently for the left and right ear bud.: right side will do a skip track (there is no function to go back to previous track though), and the left side will turn on or off Ambient Mode.

I think it is a very useful feature especially when you are working out. 

Ambient Mode

While getting lost in the music is always a good thing, it is practical to still be aware of your surroundings. With a simple tap on the left ear bud,  you can turn on and off the feature. 

The ambient mode allows you to hear sounds around you without removing the earphones. It works in a way that the microphone picks up sound from your surrounding and mixes them in the sound played in your ears. This is especially helpful when you are traveling and would want to hear announcements. 

When activated at home, I can even hear clearly the sound of my silver bracelet and charms, and my camera buttons when I pressed them. That felt like a superpower. 

IPX5 Weatherproof

The Nokia Essential True Wireless Earphones E3200 is certified high industry-accredited rating for moisture resistance. This makes it perfect for working-out or travel as it is moisture and sweat-proof. 

Up to 17 hours* of play time

An uninterrupted listening experience is what Nokia E3200 promises. It offers initial 5 hours of playtime + additional 12 hours of playtime using the charging case. The charging cable is also small which is easy to carry and bring around for your travels.

Simple and minimal, yet it delivers its promise. 

The Nokia Essential True Wireless Earphones E3200 provides a decent sound, with a useful ambient mode feature that can give you longer playtime.
