From our hearty lunch in Balay Buhay sa Uma Bee Farm, we headed to Zoe Resort and Eco-Adventure Park.

Zoe Resort and Eco-Adventure Park
(Kambal Busay Falls and Hidden Falls)
Peeking through the windows of our van on our way inside the eco-adventure park, I spotted witty and fun signages of love quotes and Pinoy hugot. I wish we had more time to check each, but we were quite pressed with time and we had to attend to the briefing before heading down to the falls.
Unlike other falls that I have visited, the Kambal Busay Falls is rather accessible to visit. We walked down a short trail and we were greeted by its raging cascades.
How do I describe it? It looks so dreamy and silky like a veil; and the strong raging waterfalls look inviting for a serious hydrotheraphy.
We spotted a number of tourists having their hydrotherapy session. I would want to go, but part of me didn’t want to get wet and was afraid of the water pressure. 😂
We just took the sweet time taking photos.
I am always amazed by falls and how nature creates such beautiful scenes and sounds.

From Kambal Busay Falls, we headed to a narrow and slippery trail (again, I was not ready for it – I looked like I would head to the mall) to the Hidden Falls.
Thank you to the wonderful tourist guides and locals who helped us! 💖
It was quite challenging to walk through slippery rocks but we managed to get to the top boulder. The local guide seems to understand the need for photos and he graciously took photos and videos of my little adventure that day.
That feeling of reaching the top spot to experience and view the Hidden Falls’ beauty! Being the un-sporty girl that I am, I am so proud of this small success/achievement.
Some Travel Tips:
- Wear comfortable shoes / hiking shoes so you would feel more secure crossing slippery rocks.
- Wear swimwear underneath your clothes so you are ready to enjoy the falls and hydrotherapy.
- Even if you are unfit, you can easily get to the Hidden Falls (just go and experience it!). Unlike other falls that I have visited that require long hike and walking, Kambal Busay and Hidden Falls are very accessible.

Just a 10-minute drive from Zoe’s Resort and Eco-Adventure Park is the Bulusan Volcano Natural Park.
Bulusan Volcano Natural Park
From Zoe Resort and Eco-Adventure Park, we headed to Bulusan Lake. Most of the travel blogger friends who had previously visited the lake were surprised by the improvement of the site.
Bulusan Lake is known to be the most visited place in Sorsogon. It is located at the heart of Bulusan Volcano National Park which covers a land area of 3,672 hectares.
From the main lobby / office, we took a mini-bus to get to the Bulusan Volcano Natural Park. The place somehow reminds me of Niagara Falls or the Ohori Park in Fukuoka – I think it is because I want to relate it to something world-class, and organized for a better tourist experience.
Bulusan Volcano Natural Park is a perfect destination for those who love to just relax and take in the beauty of nature.
From kayaking, trekking, boating, and fishing, there are different activities that cater to different interests.
Sharing the current rates of the activities.
Sharing how our group spent their time in Bulusan Lake (as captured by @renassans)
Most of them flew drones and kayaked.
Ana, Jacque, and I decided to ride a boat. We had a fun time sailing and taking photos. It was nice to see the boatmen laughing at our antics while they tirelessly paddled. They were so eager to show us the beautiful flowers at the far end of the lake; it was nice to see them so proud of their hometown. Bulusan, Lake is really beautiful with its deep green color due to the presence of algae which is good for the fishes and organisms living on the lake. I think what makes it special is it surrounded by rainforest.
I am so glad that the site has opened proving livelihood to the locals.
Please do try and book the activities to keep the economy going. Don’t forget to give generous tips, too!
Check out the Bulusan Lake Facebook Page for more updates and info.
I had a very fun and relaxing experience with the girls.
We boarded our van for our next destination – Siama Hotel where we spent our last night in Bicol.
To be continued…
Thank you to the Tourism Promotions Board for having me!
