I was expecting Day 2 of our Davao Travel to be more promising for the #ruroro. Promising indeed, day 2 literally brought us closer to nature and each other.Â
I woke up earlier to attend Sunday church. I was expecting the boys to be ready when I went back at 7 in the morning, but they were still sleeping. It felt like a go signal for me to go back to bed. We headed to Malagos Park around 1030ish. From our place, we took an air-conditioned jeepney (I have to stressed that it is air conditioned!) going to Bangkeruhan. It costed us Php 40/each which took about an hour drive. We got off at Calinan where we took a motorcycle (aka habal habal). I didn’t realized that visiting Davao would require a habal habal skills. Thankfully, I had already experienced it via Ride Along Motorcycle Tours. Otherwise, I would totally freak out.Â
This is a skill! Haha Read my experience here.Â
Malagos is a 12-hectare Nature Themed Resort. I do not have much expectations about the place. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that you can do a lot of things in Malagos. There are interactive educational modules, activity stations, and sanctuaries for birds and butterflies. Â Malagos is also popular for its export-quality chocolates.Â
Malagos Entrance Only Php 200
with Lunch Buffet Php 450
Malagos is a lot more beautiful than the photos I have seen online. We explored Malagos like lost kids. We were given a map but we refused to use it.Â
We fed birds. You can buy feeds for Php 10/pack. Rod was hysterical.Â
Inside, we found the garden of Adam and Eve and these happened.Â
#RuRoRo
Garden of Eden?
Rodel made me do it
Strong bones, Rod!
This is one of my favorite photos
We thought we haven’t seen these photos in Google!
I wish I brought a nice dress to go with the boys’ theme.Â
But I am most comfortable with my rocker shirt and shorts 🙂
Rodel always finds the best spots
From Malagos we headed to Philippine Eagle. It took a while for us to get a habal habal (costed us Php 10 each).Â
Going back, we also took the same route. We had dinner at the famous Jack’s Ridge. It was freezing cold but I love the weather. We realized that we didn’t have lunch that day which made the meal one of the best meals of my life. Haha
The staircase in Jack Ridge is everyone’s favorite spot because of the lights. I also spotted love locks in the steel banister. It takes a nice lens and good photographer (+ perfect timing) to take a perfect shot.Â

That week, everyone was into that red calendar day. :p I am all for LOVE everyday.Â
We ended the day  night with karaoke at the nearby KTV Bar.Â
