FRIENDS is that one TV show that I watch when I want to “feel lighter” after watching a heavy series/movie, and when I am feeling down, or just when I don’t have anything to watch.
It was my sister who introduced me to Friends, and I remember we would even rent VHS tapes from the nearby Video City to watch the series. Just like BTS RM, I think I have developed my English communication skills because of FRIENDS. What do I know back then? I was really young.
Looking back, I honestly cannot imagine waiting the whole season, or even a whole week just to watch the next episode. Today, I rarely turn on the TV (I realized I don’t even turn on the TV when I am staying in a hotel). Those were the days, and I cherish those memories with my sister.
It was sad and shocking to hear about Mathew Perry’s passing. Chandler Bing is gone.
A lot of friends posted how FRIENDS and Chandler Bing saved them when they were younger. For reasons that are very personal to them. Thank you Mr. Bing for the laughter, and thank you Mr. Perry for sharing you advocacy.
